Thrive Azul 16mm First Impressions

I recently had the opportunity to play a game with the Thrive Azul 16.

I found the blend of Kevlar and carbon fiber to make the face a bit stiff. Some of my dinks and thirds were a little bit high.

Once I found the sweet spot (which is pretty narrow on this paddle) I did not have to put a lot of effort into my serves or my drives to get the power that I was looking for.

Overall I’d say this is an all-court paddle.

It’s a bit pricey at right around $200 but you do get to choose the swing weight of the paddle. In addition it does come with weights so you can customize the weight of your paddle

If those are the kind of features you’re looking for in a paddle then the Thrive Azul 16 is for you.
